The Ghostriders lost 3-1 to the Sicamous Eagles in their home opener. The Riders had enough real good chances to win the game but couldn't finish. Aiden Geiger scored the lone Rider goal and found himself alone in front of the net enough times to score three or four more and win the game himself.
Knocking the goalies mask off with just 3:14 left in the game when you are down two goals was just a stupid play, do it in the second or something. Phoenix Logan -Hill made some terrific stops but made a couple of not terrific stops as well. He will be alright as the season wears on, this was just the first of many home games.
It could also be that the players who won 8-2 in Sicamous thought this would be easier at home... they will be tested tonight in Kimberley, the Nitros have several KI vets in the lineup.
The Sicamous roster was not completed correctly on the KIJHL web site and that is what gets loaded onto the game summary done on the computer. Only the Eagles can change their roster so reading the game sheet as posted on the KIJHL site will only get you part of the Sicamous story. Their goaltender was easily their player of the game as well as #23 who was not listed either who had 2 goals I think.
