The Ghostriders defeated the Columbia Valley Rockies 7-1 on Friday night here in Fernie in front of 787 screaming fans. Connor McLaughlin led the way with 2 G and an A while Brendan Burge and Ben Primeau each had 3 points. The Riders were without Chris Solecki, Ty Morton, Derek Georgopoulos, Dylan Robertson and Alex Milhouse who were out with injuries and the flu. Austin Evans left in the first with some sort of injury. See the game sheet here. AP’s Matthew McArthur and Jeffrey Rayman both suited up for the Riders. Rayman (15yrs) looks strong for someone that young and made a few hits while McArthur made a few nice defensive plays and picked up an assist. He looks stronger and smarter than he did at the start of the season and will likely play with the Ghostriders full time next season.
